Hubei Xiangyuan Special Fabrics Co., Ltd., formerly known as Chibi Special Fabrics Factory, was founded in 1987. In 1987, in response to market demand, it developed flame-retardant fabrics and has since established large-scale production. It was the only professional manufacturer of flame-retardant fabrics in Central South China at that time. In 1990, it became the first company nationwide to obtain the flame-retardant fabric production license issued by the Ministry of Labor (No. XK20-3130001) and was named by the Ministry of Labor as a designated production plant for "flame-retardant fabrics."
In March 2000, as a representative domestic manufacturer of flame-retardant fabrics, it was invited by the State Economic and Trade Commission to participate in the "International Health and Safety Expo" held in Hong Kong.
The company currently has two production lines using PROBAN and CP technologies, producing both woven and knitted series of flame-retardant products. The flame-retardant fabrics have passed tests by the Ministry of Public Security and the National Labor Protection Product Quality Inspection Center, and all indicators meet the requirements of the national standard GB8965-98 "Flame-retardant Protective Clothing". The fabric also meets the EU EN470-1 welder's work clothing, EN531, and EN533 flame-retardant standards, and complies with the US federal government's legal requirements that imported children's clothing must pass the 16CFR1615/1616 children's sleepwear 50-wash flame-retardant standard. It has also been tested in the UK and meets the requirements for Class A flame-retardant fabrics in the US and UK. It has successively won the National Flame-Retardant Textile Product Commemorative Award in 1987, the Hubei Provincial Outstanding New Product "Golden Crane Award" in 1989, and the National "Excellent Flame-Retardant Textile Product Development Award" in 1990. It has also passed ISO9001 quality management system certification and is at the leading level in the country in terms of product quality.
