Hubei Xiangyuan Special Fabrics Co., Ltd., formerly known as Chibi Special Fabrics Factory, was founded in 1987. In 1987, in response to market demand, it developed flame-retardant fabrics and has since established large-scale production. It was the only professional manufacturer of flame-retardant fabrics in Central South China at that time. In 1990, it became the first company in China to obtain a production license for flame-retardant fabrics issued by the Ministry of Labor (No. XK20-3130001) and was designated by the Ministry of Labor as a "flame-retardant fabric" designated production plant.
